Moving on, I spent the best half of my last week reading Dr Philip McGraw’s Life strategies, very wonderful read.  in the life rewards action chapter, there is where he talks about “catching up” emotionally with someone you love,…overcoming the inertia of your life and saying what you have in your heart, he talks of the issue of intended but unexpressed feelings being so important…to cut the long story short, Dr. Philip asks the reader to write down everything that would be left unsaid if one’s loved one were to die at this very moment. He comes up with a few words one would wish to have said to their son if God forbid they were to die today. I was emotionally struck because I thought that was the most…I quote I copy and paste: “I love you, I am and always have been proud of you, even though I did not tell you very often, if ever. You are so very special. Please know every day of your life that you were loved by me. And now that I know that I am not long for this world, I am truly sorry that I did not spend more time knowing you, being with you, and letting you know me. You are a good man and a good father. The world is blessed by you. Please be happy and well, and live and love in your life. In another err, development, there is this place in Kamwokya a friend introduced me to the other day and now for some reason, I don’t want to hang any where else. I used to like Iguana but not any more, i went to Bodaboda my other favorite yesterday but there was something I didn’t like about it, I guess for now am going to have to settle for ISHA’S.

Indomitable lions

Today 14 June at 5:00pm (Ug Time) the indomitable lions face off with Japan in their first game.

This is a game not to miss,…i have my money on cameroon. being the team am supporting in this world cup. My prediction is 2;1 in favour of cameroon.

We visited Kigali town with only one intention, to kill boredom…yes, I go beyond borders to lay off ,how cool is that,

I got into Friday with absolutely no plans, hell I was contemplating going to the village and check on grandma, until that call came through,…my cousin Harouna from K-town, he had finally managed to convince my uncle and auntie that he could manage living out of their house. The call was to invite me to go down there and celebrate with him the beginning of his bachelorhood.

“…So, are you sure there is no curfew in that country? Coz you know us Ugandans,when we start something, we like to see it to it’s end…I mean, we go till 6 in the morning” I said.  Then came the reply “just get yo a** here, you won’t be disappointed I promise ” and that is all the assurance I needed- you will NOT be disappointed.

It took us about an hour and 45minutes from Mbarara to the border of Gatuna/ Katuna and about a minute or two to clear customs and then walk through the border (this E.African community thingy is the best),….changed a few shillings at one of the border post forex bureaus coz we needed cab money to get us to Kigali town which is about 80 | km | mi, we paid 18000 francs about 54000shs. when i told cousin boy about this, he laughed so hard making me look like some kinda fool, I hear “ba kwibye” (they cheated you)

This is some of the beauty that welcomed us to Kigali, I asked how they manage and was told that Rwandese are very disciplined people, I don’t know how true this is but, well, if you compare them to Us, Kagame is really doing a good job.

Besides being clean and everything, the city is very organized…I said, the City, only the City.  The slums are appalling, seriously, they have like thousands of these small, dirty and congested bu-houses, but I promised myself that I was going to stick to the positivities.

So, I was saying,

The city is very organized and the city center is built on Hills, you know like many small hills where if you stood on top of UTC… meanwhile, this is a building that houses Nakumatt, Tigo and other shopping areas with nice coffee areas, if you want to enjoy some killer optical nutrition, this here, is the recommended place.

Ok, where was I…

…the night life, yes, and the night life.

First off, those guys don’t play their own music in the night clubs or hung outs, we visited one of the best Night clubs KBC, I heard one of the guys call it Kigali bitch center, don’t ask me anything coz I don’t know, They play mostly ‘gangster’ music and Ugandan music, especially Bebe cool’s Kasepiki and probably all albums that Mosey and weasel have ever recorded.

The Goodlyfe Boys

An e-mail from the marketing department came in a few minutes ago to all WARID employees about the Weasle aka Dog aka Television (this kid needs jesus) and Moses aka Radio shows that are taking place this weekend.

I’ve never been to such shows, is it worth it? won’t some one shoot in the crowd? or pour Acid at us? …the tickets are running out, i need to make up my mind

I will tell you one thing I know, Boxing is a sport that people love to bet on, I confess  I’m one of those people,.. and now am looking at making some weekend jackpot off Mayweather’s knock out come this saturday. The organisers of this game have known this for a long time and they knew that the longer they delayed this face off, the more anticipation they would create and that automatically meant the more bets they would fetch.

People thinking that Mosley has no chance haven’t watched boxing, because he hasn’t lost that much hand speed, and he has enough experience to offset Mayweather’s defense. Mayweather may have to actually let his hands go, which will make for an exciting boxing betting experience.
So, you might want to hold onto your dimes for this one

On the other hand, i believe what would be more exciting would be the day the king of pound-for -pound…the ruthless and murderous,…the exciting mexicutioner pac-man Pacquiao would face off with ”Pretty Boy” Mayweather. this will be…this will be, the BOUT, can’t wait for that day man.

My birthday cake

Today 22 feb 2010 i make 27 years and for some strange reasons some people think  i lie about my age, the other day i was talking to a friend who insisted that i was 30 years old and even more, let me make my self clear, am not here to explain why i’m my age , am here to thank the almighty for what he has done for Sulah through out the years, 

From the unmanageable accidents on our Roads to the LRA (lords resistance army) carnages, the earth quake in Haiti to the ceptic tank murders and those other cruel tracks through which death has chosen to set on man kind, i only have one word to say on this day, thank you ALLAH for still keeping me here, healthy and still cool like this.THANK YOU. 

My facebook wall has at the time of writting this received 12 birthday messages from friends and family one being from my Aunty Mariam, the message goes like “happy birthday my son.seems like yesterday wen I saw u crawl with ur stomach like u had kwashakor n u had us all worried dat u’d grow up n be a retard.but thanx to God u turned out fine.Iam so proud of how u hav turned out and just know that u hold a special place in ma heart.Happy birthday once again.” this is of course a jock, i never had kwashakor and was very steady when i was growing up, i promise you Mariam, I WILL get back at you at the first opportunity i get. now these birthday messages have not only made me charge up for the day but have also made me appreciate where i have come from as a man,
